Our Chicago headquarters is a hub for procurement excellence, serving Fortune 500 clients with cutting-edge IoT products. This role reports directly to the VP of Operations and offers visibility to executive leadership while mentoring a team of 3 purchasing specialists.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for raw materials and components
- Lead vendor negotiations achieving 15-20% cost reduction targets
- Manage RFX processes for $20M+ annual procurement budget
- Implement risk mitigation strategies in supply chain disruption scenarios
- Oversee ERP system optimization (SAP Ariba preferred)
- Drive sustainability initiatives in vendor selection and lifecycle management
- Collaborate with engineering teams on new product sourcing requirements
Qualifications
- 8+ years in strategic procurement with 3+ years in management
- CIPS or CPSM certification strongly preferred
- Proven experience in manufacturing/tech procurement
- Advanced data analytics skills (Power BI/Tableau)
- Expertise in contract management and supplier relationship building
- International sourcing experience with APAC/Latin America markets
- Strong financial acumen with cost modeling capabilities
