Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for key commodities across 15+ categories
- Lead vendor negotiations achieving 15-20% annual cost savings targets
- Oversee purchase order processing, contract management, and supplier performance metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement with business objectives
- Implement risk mitigation strategies for supply chain disruptions
- Analyze market trends to identify cost optimization opportunities
- Manage team of 3 purchasing specialists through mentorship and performance coaching
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive purchasing experience in manufacturing or distribution
- CIPS or CPSM certification preferred
- Proven track record of strategic sourcing and vendor management
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and procurement software
- Strong analytical skills with experience in cost-benefit analysis
- Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments
