Responsibilities
- Architect secure, scalable cloud-native solutions for federal government applications
- Lead digital transformation initiatives across 15+ federal departments
- Ensure compliance with Canadian government security standards (ITSG-33, PSPF)
- Mentor junior architects and technical teams on public sector best practices
- Collaborate with policy experts to align technology with regulatory requirements
- Develop enterprise-wide technology roadmaps for 5-year digital modernization
- Conduct risk assessments and disaster recovery planning for critical systems
Qualifications
- 10+ years in enterprise architecture with 5+ years in public/government sector
- Expertise in AWS/Azure with government compliance certifications (CCSP, CISSP)
- Proven experience leading agile transformation in regulated environments
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Deep understanding of Canadian public sector IT frameworks (GC Cloud, GCDS)
- Strong stakeholder management skills with executive-level experience
- Security clearance eligibility (Reliability Status)
- Experience with DevOps practices in government contexts
