Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure for federal public services
- Lead digital transformation initiatives across 15+ government agencies
- Ensure compliance with Canada's Digital Privacy Act (PIPEDA) and Treasury Board standards
- Manage cross-functional teams of developers, data scientists, and UX designers
- Develop cybersecurity protocols for critical public-facing digital platforms
- Conduct technology audits and recommend system optimizations
- Collaborate with policymakers to translate legislative requirements into technical specifications
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Public Administration (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years in IT infrastructure management within public sector
- Expertise in AWS/GCP cloud architecture and CI/CD pipelines
- Security clearance eligibility (Reliability Status)
- Proven experience with government procurement frameworks (e.g., SAP)
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (SQL, Python, Tableau)
- Knowledge of Canadian open data initiatives and accessibility standards
- PMP or ITIL certification preferred
