Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-wide cybersecurity frameworks for government systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Develop incident response protocols and disaster recovery plans
- Coordinate with federal agencies on national security initiatives
- Mentor junior security professionals and establish best practices
- Ensure compliance with Canadian cybersecurity regulations (PIPEDA, FIPPA)
- Lead security awareness programs for public sector employees
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in IT security with 3+ years in public/government sector
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and zero-trust architecture
- Experience with NIST CSF and Canadian Cyber Security Standards
- Strong knowledge of public sector compliance requirements
- Advanced degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- Active TS/SCI security clearance or ability to obtain
- Proven track record of leading security transformation projects
