Responsibilities
- Lead cross-agency digital transformation projects using agile methodologies
- Develop comprehensive modernization roadmaps aligned with federal digital strategy
- Oversee implementation of cloud-native infrastructure and API ecosystems
- Ensure compliance with Canada's Digital Privacy Act and accessibility standards
- Collaborate with CTOs to integrate emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, IoT)
- Manage vendor relationships and multi-million dollar technology budgets
- Present strategic initiatives to parliamentary committees and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 8 years experience in public sector technology leadership
- Certification in TOGAF or enterprise architecture frameworks
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale digital transformation projects
- Deep understanding of Canadian public sector IT governance frameworks
- Expertise in cybersecurity protocols for government systems
- Experience managing hybrid teams (civil servants and contractors)
- Strong stakeholder management with elected officials and senior executives
