Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies that align with client business goals and elevate brand awareness.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with national, local, and trade media editors, journalists, and influencers.
- Draft compelling press releases, pitch letters, media advisories, and executive thought leadership pieces.
- Secure high-tier media placements in major business, tech, and lifestyle publications.
- Provide strategic counsel to C-suite executives during media training and high-stakes public appearances.
- Monitor industry trends and proactively identify newsjacking opportunities to position clients as industry authorities.
- Manage crisis communication plans and respond swiftly and strategically to mitigate reputational risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 6+ years of progressive PR experience, preferably within an agency environment.
- Proven portfolio of securing Tier-1 media placements (e.g., Forbes, NYT, WSJ, TechCrunch).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an expert grasp of AP Style.
- Demonstrated experience managing high-profile crisis communications and reputation management.
- Strong network of active media contacts across tech, business, and consumer lifestyle sectors.
- Proficiency with PR databases and analytics tools such as Cision, Muck Rack, and Meltwater.
