Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies aligned with client business objectives
- Build and maintain relationships with top-tier journalists, editors, and industry influencers
- Lead crisis management protocols and provide strategic guidance during brand emergencies
- Write and distribute compelling press releases, pitches, and thought leadership content
- Coordinate and manage high-profile media events, press conferences, and virtual launches
- Analyze media coverage and provide actionable insights to optimize campaign performance
- Mentor junior team members and oversee PR campaign execution timelines
- Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to ensure integrated brand messaging
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive PR experience with 3+ years in a managerial role
- Proven track record of securing placements in major outlets (WSJ, Forbes, AdAge, etc.)
- Expertise in crisis communication, media training, and executive positioning
- Exceptional writing skills with portfolio demonstrating award-winning campaigns
- Deep network of media contacts in New York and national markets
- Experience managing PR budgets exceeding $500K annually
- Proficiency in PR analytics tools (Cision, Meltwater, TrendKite)
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field
