Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies that align with client business objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with key influencers, media outlets, and industry analysts.
- Lead proactive media pitching and manage reactive crisis communications with poise and precision.
- Draft high-impact press releases, thought leadership articles, and executive briefing documents.
- Monitor industry trends to identify unique opportunities for brand storytelling and market positioning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PR efforts with social and digital marketing campaigns.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in agency or in-house PR, ideally with a focus on B2B or consumer lifestyle brands.
- Proven track record of securing placements in top-tier national and industry-specific publications.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a portfolio of published work.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple high-stakes accounts simultaneously.
- Deep understanding of the modern digital media ecosystem, including SEO fundamentals and social media strategy.
- Existing network of media contacts within the New York City market is highly preferred.
