Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and technical delivery of large-scale commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects from initial concept through construction administration.
- Collaborate directly with clients, developers, and public stakeholders to translate ambitious visions into functional, beautiful realities.
- Supervise and mentor intermediate and junior design staff, managing project workflows, detailing, and the production of high-quality construction documentation.
- Coordinate seamlessly with MEP, structural, civil, and environmental engineering consultants to ensure highly integrated design solutions.
- Ensure all architectural plans, specifications, and zoning submissions comply fully with building codes, ADA standards, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, resolve field issues, and ensure strict adherence to design intent and quality control.
Qualifications
- Professional Degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution.
- Licensed Architect with active registration (Illinois licensure preferred; NCARB certification is a strong plus).
- 8+ years of progressive professional experience in an architectural firm, with a proven portfolio of built commercial or mixed-use projects.
- Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit, BIM coordination, AutoCAD, and architectural visualization tools.
- Deep technical knowledge of building materials, construction systems, specifications, and building envelope assemblies.
- LEED AP credential or a demonstrated commitment to sustainable, high-performance, and resilient design practices.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and client-facing presentation skills.
