Responsibilities
- Lead the design development, construction documentation, and execution of complex, multi-million dollar architectural projects.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Oversee and mentor junior architectural staff, ensuring design intent and technical accuracy are maintained throughout.
- Coordinate engineering systems integration and manage overall BIM workflow utilizing Revit.
- Conduct site visits, review construction progress, and resolve technical field issues effectively.
- Ensure all designs comply with local zoning laws, building codes, and sustainability standards (LEED).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited institution.
- Active Licensed Architect (RA) registration in the state of Illinois, or NCARB certification with ability to obtain licensure.
- 7+ years of professional experience, specifically leading commercial or multi-family residential projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and rendering tools (e.g., Enscape, Lumion).
- Strong knowledge of building systems, construction materials, specifications, and building codes.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and client management capabilities.
- LEED AP credential or strong commitment to sustainable design principles is highly preferred.
