Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design process from conceptual sketches through final construction administration.
- Coordinate seamlessly with MEP/Structural engineers, consultants, and clients to ensure project alignment.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed construction document sets and technical specifications.
- Mentor junior architectural staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and design innovation.
- Navigate complex municipal zoning codes and building department filing requirements in NYC.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Lead client presentations and project meetings with professionalism and architectural authority.
Qualifications
- Professional Degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience in an architectural firm.
- Active NY State Architecture License (RA) is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of NYC Building Codes, Zoning Resolution, and ADA requirements.
- Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary consultant teams.
- Exceptional visual communication and 3D modeling skills (Rhino or SketchUp preferred).
