Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design process from conceptual development through construction documentation.
- Coordinate seamlessly with engineering consultants, clients, and municipal authorities to ensure project viability.
- Manage project teams, delegating tasks effectively to ensure milestones are met on schedule.
- Oversee construction administration, conducting site visits and resolving complex field issues.
- Maintain high standards of design quality, sustainability compliance, and technical precision.
- Review and stamp construction documents ensuring adherence to building codes and zoning ordinances.
- Mentor junior designers and staff, fostering a culture of technical learning and design excellence.
Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution.
- Licensed Architect (AIA) in the State of Illinois or ability to obtain reciprocity.
- Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in large-scale commercial or mixed-use projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of IBC, ADA requirements, and Chicago Building Code.
- Demonstrated experience in consultant coordination and project delivery management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proven track record of client management.
