Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of architectural projects from initial programming and conceptual design through construction administration.
- Mentor and guide junior architects and design staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- Develop detailed architectural plans, specifications, and construction documents using advanced BIM software (Revit).
- Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success and compliance.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and provide construction administration support, resolving field conditions as necessary.
- Present design concepts and project updates to clients and stakeholders with compelling visual and verbal communication.
- Ensure all designs adhere to local building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainable design principles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 8+ years of progressive professional experience in an architectural firm, with significant project lead experience.
- New York State Registered Architect (RA) license is required.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated experience managing all phases of complex projects, particularly in commercial, mixed-use, or multi-family residential sectors.
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction technologies relevant to NYC.
- Exceptional design sensibility, technical proficiency, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication abilities.
- LEED AP certification is a significant plus.
