Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with company goals, optimizing cost structures and supplier diversity.
- Vendor Management: Lead the full lifecycle of vendor relationships, from onboarding and performance evaluation to renewal and termination.
- Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements with key suppliers to maximize value and mitigate risk.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive category management.
- Supply Chain Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain disruptions and implement proactive mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Process Improvement: Streamline procurement processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Negotiation: Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and vendor negotiations.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of UK procurement laws and regulatory compliance standards.
