Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve supply chain agility.
- Lead contract negotiations for large-scale vendor agreements, ensuring favorable terms, quality standards, and compliance.
- Manage the full lifecycle of procurement, from supplier identification and vetting to relationship management.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through proactive market analysis and contingency planning.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and logistics departments to align purchasing activities with company growth objectives.
- Implement and maintain robust procurement software and internal reporting systems.
- Mentor junior buyers and oversee departmental KPI performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in corporate procurement or strategic sourcing.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar annual budgets and complex supply chains.
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced data analysis tools (Excel, PowerBI).
- Professional certification such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CSCP is highly desirable.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and an aptitude for high-level vendor relationship management.
- Deep understanding of global sourcing regulations and sustainability standards.
