Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of complex preclinical studies for novel oncology therapeutics
- Develop and optimize analytical methodologies for compound characterization and stability
- Mentor junior scientists and cross-functional teams in drug development best practices
- Author regulatory documentation (INDs, NDAs) and ensure compliance with FDA/ICH guidelines
- Drive innovation in formulation science to enhance bioavailability and drug delivery
- Collaborate with CROs and academic partners to advance research objectives
- Present findings at scientific conferences and peer-reviewed journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in small molecule drug discovery and preclinical development
- Strong knowledge of GMP/GLP regulations and analytical techniques (HPLC, LC-MS, NMR)
- Experience leading FDA-regulated projects from lead optimization to IND submission
- Demonstrated success in publishing high-impact research and securing funding
- Excellent project management skills with ability to manage complex timelines
- Proficiency in scientific software (Schrödinger, Pipeline Pilot, Spotfire)
