Responsibilities
- Lead design, execution, and optimization of complex preclinical drug formulations and delivery systems
- Conduct advanced analytical testing (HPLC, LC-MS, NMR) to characterize drug candidates and assess stability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including toxicology, pharmacology, and regulatory affairs
- Develop and validate analytical methods for quality control of pharmaceutical products
- Prepare comprehensive regulatory documentation (IND, CMC sections) for FDA submissions
- Mentor junior scientists and oversee laboratory compliance with GMP/GLP standards
- Present research findings at scientific conferences and peer-reviewed publications
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in formulation development for biologics or small molecules
- Proficient with regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA) and GMP/GLP principles
- Strong statistical analysis skills and experimental design capabilities
- Published research in peer-reviewed pharmaceutical or chemistry journals
- Experience with analytical instrumentation (HPLC, LC-MS, dissolution testing)
- Demonstrated project management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation
