Responsibilities
- Lead and design innovative research projects in drug discovery and development
- Execute complex laboratory experiments including molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell-based assays
- Analyze and interpret experimental data to advance therapeutic candidates through preclinical stages
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (chemistry, toxicology, clinical) to ensure project alignment
- Develop and optimize experimental protocols while maintaining compliance with FDA/EMA regulations
- Present research findings to internal stakeholders and publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor junior scientists and contribute to continuous improvement of lab methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in drug discovery pipelines and preclinical development processes
- Strong technical skills in molecular biology, cell culture, and analytical techniques (HPLC, LC-MS)
- Track record of successful IND-enabling studies and regulatory documentation
- Experience with GLP/GMP standards and regulatory submission processes
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and innovative approach to experimental design
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex scientific concepts clearly
