Responsibilities
- Lead design, execution, and analysis of complex preclinical drug development experiments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including toxicology, pharmacology, and regulatory affairs
- Develop and optimize analytical methodologies for compound characterization and stability
- Prepare comprehensive study protocols, reports, and regulatory submissions (IND/CTA)
- Mentor junior scientists and supervise laboratory operations
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends through literature review and conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in small-molecule drug discovery and preclinical development
- Strong hands-on experience with HPLC, LC-MS, and spectroscopic techniques
- Familiarity with GLP/GMP regulations and FDA/EMA guidelines
- Demonstrated track record of peer-reviewed publications and patent applications
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to experimental detail
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for technical documentation
