Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive merchandising strategies that align with company goals and emerging market trends.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and ensure optimal stock availability to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Assortment Planning: Design and curate product assortments that resonate with our target demographic and drive sales performance.
- Vendor Relations: Collaborate with suppliers and negotiate terms to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost-efficiency.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data, KPIs, and reporting to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a team of junior buyers and merchandisers to foster professional growth.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in retail merchandising, buying, or fashion management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to stakeholders.
- Trend Awareness: Deep understanding of current fashion trends and consumer behavior in the US market.
