Responsibilities
- Develop and execute seasonal merchandise plans and buying strategies aligned with corporate goals.
- Analyze sales data, inventory turnover, and market trends to optimize product assortments.
- Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising team to ensure floor presentations drive conversion.
- Manage open-to-buy (OTB) budgets and ensure accurate inventory tracking through ERP systems.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Conduct regular stock reviews and implement replenishment strategies to minimize stockouts.
- Train and mentor junior merchandisers and buyers to foster team growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in retail merchandising, buying, or inventory management.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Tableau) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing budgets effectively.
- Excellent understanding of current fashion trends and consumer behavior.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to retail locations and trade shows.
