Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive seasonal financial plans by category and department.
- Analyze weekly sales performance, inventory turnover, and margin trends to recommend actionable adjustments.
- Collaborate with the buying team to optimize assortment architecture and identify potential high-growth items.
- Manage open-to-buy (OTB) budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational financial targets.
- Lead demand forecasting efforts by incorporating historical data, market trends, and seasonal impacts.
- Partner with store operations and e-commerce teams to ensure cross-channel inventory distribution accuracy.
- Present quarterly business performance updates to executive leadership with clear insights and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or Retail Merchandising.
- 5+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning or inventory management.
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, modeling).
- Deep understanding of retail math, OTB processes, and P&L management.
- Experience with enterprise planning software (e.g., Oracle Retail, SAP, or similar).
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategic visual presentations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners effectively.
