Responsibilities
- Develop and execute merchandise plans across 3+ product categories, aligning with seasonal trends and sales targets
- Analyze historical sales data, market research, and inventory metrics to optimize stock allocation and markdown strategies
- Collaborate with buying teams to create assortment plans that balance exclusivity with commercial viability
- Monitor key performance indicators including sell-through rates, gross margin, and inventory turnover
- Present merchandise insights to senior leadership with data-driven recommendations for category growth
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate terms for replenishment and promotional stock
- Lead cross-functional projects with visual merchandising and marketing teams to align in-store and digital experiences
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, or related field with 5+ years in retail merchandise planning
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs; experience with retail planning tools (e.g., Oracle Retail, Blue Yonder)
- Demonstrated success in developing merchandise plans for premium/luxury apparel or accessories segments
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable commercial strategies
- Deep understanding of retail calendar, seasonal planning cycles, and inventory management principles
- Exceptional communication skills for presenting complex plans to diverse stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines
