Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive seasonal financial plans for multiple product categories.
- Collaborate with Buying teams to align assortment strategies with historical data and future market trends.
- Conduct weekly business analysis to identify risks and opportunities in inventory levels and sales performance.
- Manage open-to-buy (OTB) projections and adjust forecasts to maximize profitability and sell-through rates.
- Lead markdown and promotional strategies to optimize inventory liquidation while protecting brand margin.
- Partner with Allocation and Logistics teams to ensure seamless product flow to regional stores and e-commerce distribution centers.
- Mentor junior analysts on planning tools, methodologies, and retail mathematics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Retail Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in merchandise planning or retail financial analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and ERP inventory management systems.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategies.
- Proven track record of improving inventory turn and GMROI in a high-volume retail environment.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience with advanced planning software (e.g., Oracle Retail, SAP, or SAS) is highly preferred.
