You'll leverage market insights and trend analysis to develop strategic plans that balance commercial success with brand integrity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute merchandise plans across 5+ product categories, optimizing assortment depth and breadth
- Analyze sales data, inventory metrics, and market trends to identify growth opportunities
- Collaborate with buying teams to set pricing strategies and promotional calendars
- Lead cross-functional planning sessions with design, marketing, and store operations
- Monitor competitor landscape and emerging retail technologies
- Manage inventory allocation to maximize sell-through and minimize markdowns
- Present merchandise strategies to senior leadership with clear ROI projections
Qualifications
- 5+ years of merchandise planning experience in fashion/retail industry
- Expertise in inventory management systems (e.g., Oracle Retail, SAP)
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, or related field
- Proven track record of improving GMROI and reducing inventory carrying costs
- Deep understanding of retail math and financial planning concepts
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to present complex data clearly
