Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive merchandise plans across 15+ store locations and e-commerce platforms
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks
- Collaborate with vendors to negotiate contracts and ensure optimal pricing structures
- Lead cross-functional teams including buying, marketing, and visual merchandising
- Manage inventory allocation to maximize sell-through rates and minimize markdowns
- Conduct competitive analysis and report on market positioning opportunities
- Train and mentor junior merchandising staff on best practices and company standards
Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive experience in retail merchandising with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and margin goals
- Advanced proficiency in retail analytics tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle Retail)
- Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- Expert knowledge of fashion/apparel industry trends and consumer behavior
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with competing priorities
