Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret a wide range of complex laboratory tests, including hematology, chemistry, and microbiology.
- Supervise and mentor junior laboratory staff to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Maintain strict quality control and assurance standards in compliance with CLIA and CAP regulations.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, troubleshooting technical issues as they arise.
- Review and validate test results before release to ensure patient safety.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and staff training programs.
Qualifications
- ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) certification as a Medical Technologist or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related biological science.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Strong proficiency in manual and automated laboratory instrumentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
