Responsibilities
- Perform and validate complex clinical laboratory tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology departments
- Oversee quality control programs and CAP/JCAHO compliance documentation
- Train and supervise 5+ medical technologists and lab assistants
- Implement new testing methodologies and instrumentation validation
- Collaborate with physicians on critical patient result interpretation
- Participate in hospital committees for process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related life science field
- ASCP or AMT certification with 5+ years clinical lab experience
- Demonstrated expertise in high-complexity testing procedures
- Experience with LIS implementation and laboratory automation systems
- Strong knowledge of CAP, CLIA, and OSHA regulations
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Leadership experience in team management and process optimization
