Responsibilities
- Perform complex laboratory testing, including hematology, chemistry, and microbiology, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot sophisticated laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Supervise and mentor junior laboratory staff, providing guidance on technical procedures and safety protocols.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality control standards, regulatory compliance, and accreditation requirements.
- Analyze data and collaborate with physicians and nurses to interpret results and inform critical patient care decisions.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to drive laboratory excellence.
Qualifications
- ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) or equivalent certification (e.g., AMT, NLPA).
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related biological science field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible clinical laboratory experience.
- Strong proficiency in automated analyzers, blood bank procedures, and molecular diagnostics.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
