Responsibilities
- Perform and supervise advanced laboratory tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology departments
- Validate test methodologies and implement new laboratory technologies following CAP/CMS guidelines
- Mentor junior technologists and train staff on emerging diagnostic protocols
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations in daily operations
- Participate in quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to interpret critical lab results
- Contribute to research projects aimed at advancing diagnostic medicine
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related life science field
- ASCP or equivalent certification with minimum 5 years clinical lab experience
- Demonstrated expertise in complex instrumentation (e.g., mass spectrometry, flow cytometry)
- Strong knowledge of CAP/CMS compliance and quality control procedures
- Experience with LIS systems and electronic health records (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume, fast-paced laboratory environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and leadership abilities
