Responsibilities
- Perform and validate complex diagnostic tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology departments
- Oversee quality assurance programs, including CAP/CLIA compliance and proficiency testing
- Mentor junior technologists and supervise laboratory operations during off-hours
- Implement new testing methodologies and optimize laboratory workflows
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret critical results and ensure timely reporting
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and safety protocol development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related life science field
- ASCP or equivalent certification with minimum 3 years clinical experience
- Proven expertise in at least two major laboratory disciplines
- Demonstrated experience with LIS/HIS systems and automated analyzers
- Strong knowledge of CAP, CLIA, and OSHA regulations
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid Massachusetts Clinical Laboratory Technologist license
