Responsibilities
- Perform complex laboratory tests across hematology, chemistry, immunology, and microbiology departments
- Validate and troubleshoot analytical procedures using advanced instrumentation (e.g., mass spectrometry, flow cytometry)
- Ensure strict compliance with CLIA, CAP, and HIPAA regulations
- Mentor junior technologists and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret results and optimize testing protocols
- Conduct inventory management and cost analysis for reagents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field (MT/MLT (ASCP) certified required)
- Minimum 5 years of clinical laboratory experience with 2+ years in specialty testing
- Demonstrated expertise in molecular diagnostics and automation systems
- Strong understanding of ISO 15189 standards and risk management
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
