Responsibilities
- Design and execute preclinical and clinical research protocols for neurological disorders
- Analyze complex genomic and proteomic data using advanced statistical methods
- Lead cross-functional teams of biologists, data scientists, and clinical coordinators
- Prepare regulatory submissions for FDA and international ethics boards
- Present findings at international conferences and peer-reviewed publications
- Secure external funding through NIH and foundation grants
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to scientific strategy
Qualifications
- PhD or MD/PhD in Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in clinical neurology research
- Proven track record of publishing in high-impact journals (e.g., Nature Medicine, JAMA Neurology)
- Expertise in neuroimaging techniques (fMRI, PET) and CSF biomarker analysis
- Familiarity with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance and GCP standards
- Strong statistical programming skills (R, Python) and bioinformatics tools
- Demonstrated success securing NIH grants or equivalent funding
- Active medical license or willingness to obtain Massachusetts license
