Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the lifecycle of data within our organization:
- Lead the analysis and interpretation of complex healthcare datasets to drive clinical decision-making and improve patient outcomes.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust data warehouses and reporting dashboards using SQL, Python, and Tableau.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal data security protocols to protect patient privacy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of clinicians, IT developers, and administrative staff to identify system inefficiencies.
- Oversee the migration of legacy medical records to our modern EHR platform, ensuring data integrity.
- Conduct ongoing data quality audits and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Train clinical staff on new data tools and reporting systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Bioinformatics, or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical informatics, health data analysis, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL (Advanced), Python, or R for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
- Deep understanding of healthcare terminology, medical coding (ICD-10, CPT), and EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth).
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) certification is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon into actionable business insights for non-technical teams.
- Proven track record of managing data migration projects and improving operational workflows.
