Responsibilities
- Analyze complex medical datasets and patient records to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Develop and maintain predictive models to forecast patient readmission rates and optimize resource allocation.
- Collaborate directly with clinical staff and IT departments to ensure seamless integration of data solutions.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and data privacy standards across all reporting processes.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and PowerBI to communicate key insights to stakeholders.
- Conduct quality assurance audits on medical coding (ICD-10/CPT) and billing data integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Biostatistics, Data Science, or a related medical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in healthcare data analysis, health informatics, or clinical research.
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python, and R for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker) is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical data into actionable business insights for non-technical audiences.
