Responsibilities
- Analyze Complex Healthcare Data: Interpret large datasets from Electronic Health Records (EHR) to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for operational improvement.
- Develop Dashboards: Design and maintain interactive, user-friendly dashboards using tools like Tableau or PowerBI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) for stakeholders.
- Ensure Data Integrity: Implement rigorous data cleaning and validation protocols to ensure 100% compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal data governance standards.
- Clinical Reporting: Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to translate clinical requirements into technical data specifications.
- Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in clinical workflows through data analysis and propose evidence-based solutions to enhance patient care delivery.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on healthcare regulations and ensure all data reporting meets federal and state standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biostatistics, Health Informatics, Nursing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in healthcare data analysis, epidemiology, or medical informatics.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS; strong experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, and ICD-10 coding standards.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical clinical staff and executive leadership.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical mindset with a proven track record of troubleshooting data issues.
