Responsibilities
- Data Mining & Analysis: Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets from Electronic Health Records (EHR) and external sources to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Clinical Reporting: Develop and maintain complex dashboards and reports for medical staff and executive leadership to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and patient satisfaction metrics.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure all data handling processes adhere to HIPAA regulations and internal data governance policies to safeguard patient privacy.
- Process Optimization: Collaborate with clinical operations teams to streamline workflows based on data-driven insights, reducing wait times and improving resource allocation.
- Modeling: Assist in the development of predictive models for patient readmission rates and disease progression to support preventative care strategies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Data Science, Biostatistics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare data analysis or a related role within a clinical setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker).
- System Knowledge: Strong understanding of healthcare information systems (Epic, Cerner, or Meditech) and HL7/FHIR data standards.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
