Responsibilities
- Data Integrity & Cleansing: Oversee the end-to-end data cleaning and validation processes for EHR and medical claims datasets to ensure 99.9% accuracy.
- Statistical Analysis: Conduct complex statistical modeling and trend analysis to identify patterns in patient care, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
- Reporting & Visualization: Design and develop interactive dashboards using Tableau and Power BI to present data findings to executive stakeholders and clinical leadership.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all data handling practices adhere to HIPAA regulations and internal data governance policies.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, IT developers, and product managers, to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current data workflows and implement automated solutions to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biostatistics, Health Informatics, Data Science, or a related medical field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in medical data analysis, healthcare analytics, or clinical informatics.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (Advanced), Python, and R. Experience with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner) is highly desirable.
- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT), clinical workflows, and healthcare reimbursement models.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Tools: Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) and statistical software (SAS, SPSS).
