Responsibilities
- Analyze complex clinical datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improving patient care quality and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks ensuring HIPAA compliance and data accuracy.
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) for stakeholders.
- Conduct data audits and validation processes to ensure EHR (Electronic Health Records) data integrity and consistency across all departments.
- Translate complex medical coding standards (ICD-10, CPT) into data models to support billing, research, and clinical research initiatives.
- Partner with IT to optimize database structures and SQL queries for faster data retrieval and reporting.
- Train and mentor junior analysts on best practices in healthcare data analysis and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Data Science, Biostatistics, Nursing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare data analysis, medical informatics, or a related clinical role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (Querying & Database Management) and programming languages such as Python or R.
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare data standards, including HL7, FHIR, and SNOMED CT.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, Power BI) is required.
- Deep understanding of HIPAA regulations, patient privacy laws, and healthcare compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical clinical stakeholders.
