Responsibilities
- Lead Data Strategy: Develop and execute data analysis strategies to support clinical and operational decision-making processes.
- EHR Optimization: Collaborate with IT and clinical staff to optimize the functionality of our Epic Systems implementation.
- Statistical Modeling: Build predictive models to forecast patient admission rates and resource allocation needs.
- Data Integrity: Monitor data quality and integrity across multiple databases, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
- Reporting: Create dynamic dashboards and automated reports using Tableau or PowerBI to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Compliance: Ensure all data handling practices adhere to strict HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear, compelling, and actionable manner.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare data analysis, health informatics, or a similar technical role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (Advanced), Python, and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker).
- System Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of EHR systems, specifically Epic Systems.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and privacy regulations (HIPAA).
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Certifications: Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) or similar certification is a plus.
