Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of automotive mechanical systems using CAD/CAM tools
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for product validation
- Collaborate with R&D to prototype innovative solutions for powertrain components
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost efficiency and quality control
- Develop technical documentation and engineering specifications
- Mentor junior engineers through design reviews and knowledge sharing
- Coordinate with suppliers for component sourcing and testing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in automotive or heavy machinery design
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and MATLAB/Simulink
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes
- Experience with project management tools (Jira, Trello)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proven track record of reducing material costs by 15%+
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
