Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation through production release
- Develop and optimize CAD models using SolidWorks and CATIA for complex aerospace components
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement DFM principles and cost-reduction strategies
- Manage technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, and engineering change notices
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for quality assurance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and CATIA with advanced surfacing capabilities
- Strong background in FEA (ANSYS) and thermal analysis methodologies
- Proven track record of leading projects from concept to production
- Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards and MIL-SPEC requirements
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
