Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable ML pipelines for large-scale scientific data analysis
- Lead end-to-end development of predictive models in domains like genomics or materials science
- Optimize algorithms for performance and accuracy using GPU/TPU infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate ML prototypes into production systems
- Contribute to open-source projects and publish peer-reviewed research
- Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices for ML model lifecycle management
Qualifications
- PhD or MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field with 5+ years ML experience
- Expertise in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and distributed computing frameworks
- Proven track record deploying production ML systems at scale
- Strong foundation in statistical modeling and algorithm design
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and MLOps tools
- Publications in top-tier ML conferences or journals preferred
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
