Responsibilities
- Design and implement strategic transportation networks optimizing cost, efficiency, and sustainability
- Oversee multi-modal freight operations including rail, truck, and intermodal logistics
- Manage carrier relationships and negotiate contracts with 3PL partners
- Develop KPIs and analytics frameworks to measure transportation performance
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and international transportation regulations
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for last-mile delivery optimization
- Manage transportation budget and implement cost-reduction strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Transportation Management (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive logistics management experience in transportation
- Expert knowledge of TMS platforms (Manhattan, Blue Yonder, or Oracle)
- Proven track record in optimizing multi-modal transportation networks
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in transportation modeling software
- OSHA and DOT compliance certification
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in unionized environments
- Valid CDL Class A license (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
