Responsibilities
- Lead complex investigative projects from conception to publication
- Develop and maintain confidential sources while adhering to journalistic ethics
- Analyze large datasets to uncover patterns and anomalies
- Produce multimedia content including video documentaries and interactive graphics
- Mentor junior journalists and contribute to editorial strategy
- Collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance with libel laws
- Represent the organization at industry events and conferences
Qualifications
- 5+ years of investigative journalism experience at major publications
- Proven track record of breaking high-impact stories
- Expertise in FOIA requests, public records research, and data journalism
- Strong video production and editing skills
- Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities across platforms
- Knowledge of media law and ethical standards
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
