Responsibilities
- Lead complex investigative projects from conception to publication across digital, print, and broadcast platforms
- Develop and cultivate high-level sources across government, corporate, and NGO sectors
- Produce compelling multimedia content including video documentaries and data visualizations
- Mentor junior journalists and conduct editorial training sessions
- Collaborate with legal teams to ensure ethical compliance and risk mitigation
- Represent the brand at industry conferences and panel discussions
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of professional journalism experience with proven investigative portfolio
- Exceptional research skills with expertise in FOI requests and data analysis
- Demonstrated ability to break exclusive stories with significant public impact
- Proficiency in multimedia production tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro)
- Deep understanding of UK media law and ethical journalism standards
- Strong network of established sources in political and corporate spheres
- Experience managing cross-functional teams under tight deadlines
