Responsibilities
- Lead high-stakes investigative projects with national impact
- Develop in-depth multimedia stories across print, digital, and broadcast formats
- Cultivate and maintain confidential sources across diverse communities
- Mentor junior journalists and contribute to editorial strategy
- Analyze complex datasets to produce data-driven journalism

- Adhere to AP Style and journalistic ethics under tight deadlines
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional journalism experience with investigative portfolio
- Demonstrated expertise in FOIA requests and public records research
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau) and multimedia production
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities across platforms
- Strong network of sources in government, legal, and advocacy sectors
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with minimal supervision
- Journalism degree or equivalent professional certification
- Experience working under deadline pressure in fast-paced environments
