Responsibilities
- Lead high-impact investigative projects from conception to publication
- Cultivate and maintain deep industry sources across government, finance, and tech sectors
- Produce compelling multimedia content (print, video, podcasts) for 5M+ monthly audience
- Mentor junior journalists and contribute to editorial strategy development
- Analyze complex datasets to uncover hidden patterns and systemic issues
- Represent Pulse Media at industry events and conferences
- Adhere to strict journalistic ethics and fact-checking standards
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional journalism experience with 3+ years in investigative reporting
- Proven track record of breaking major stories with measurable societal impact
- Expertise in FOIA requests, database journalism, and cross-source verification
- Portfolio demonstrating excellence in long-form narrative writing
- Proficiency in digital production tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro)
- Strong understanding of media law and ethical journalism principles
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining editorial rigor
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
