Responsibilities
- Develop, pitch, and execute high-impact investigative stories from conception to publication.
- Conduct deep-dive research, including FOIA requests, document analysis, and data scraping.
- Interview high-profile sources and maintain an expansive, reliable professional network.
- Collaborate with the multimedia team to integrate video, audio, and visual data into digital reports.
- Ensure all reporting adheres to the highest standards of journalistic ethics, accuracy, and legal compliance.
- Mentor junior reporters and contribute to the editorial strategy of our digital platform.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in investigative or hard-news reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to produce complex, long-form journalism that drives public impact.
- Expertise in public record acquisition and data-driven investigative techniques.
- Exceptional editorial judgment and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in digital publishing tools and multimedia narrative building.
- Willingness to travel for field reporting as required.
